Meet the Founder
Laureen Andalib (she/they) is a Bangladeshi-American artist, award-winning director, and founder of Studio Somatics. Raised in San Francisco's Mission District, their work bridges storytelling, ritual, performance, and sensory ethnography to explore trauma, displacement, cultural memory, and collective healing. A graduate of Cornell University and Harvard Graduate School of Design, Andalib advances world-building practices rooted in dignity, liberation, resilience, and cultural revival.

Kaitlyn Song (she/her) is a Marketing Intern at Studio Somatics and a junior at the University of Southern California studying Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. Passionate about purpose-driven storytelling and social impact, she supports content creation, digital marketing, communications, business development, and audience engagement. Drawing from diverse experiences across cultures and communities, Kaitlyn brings creativity, strategic thinking, and a commitment to authentic connection in her work.

Dr. Shalini Bahl (she/her) is a mindfulness researcher and educator whose work explores mindfulness, compassion, belonging, and well-being. Through teaching, facilitation, and research, she supports individuals and communities in cultivating greater awareness, resilience, and connection while applying contemplative practices to leadership, education, and social change.

Angana Saha (she/her) is a Bangladeshi-American legal advocate whose work bridges immigration justice, civic engagement, media literacy, and community empowerment. Raised in a predominantly Black and Brown mixed-status community in Jamaica, Queens, she brings a justice-centered perspective informed by lived experience and legal advocacy. Through her work in litigation, pro bono advocacy, and public education, Angana supports individuals and communities in understanding their rights, navigating complex systems, and building collective resilience in the face of systemic inequities.

Allen Litton (he/him) is a designer, creative educator, and founder of Bodies As Clothing. Blending fashion, performance, sustainability, and embodied practice, his work explores clothing as a medium for storytelling, self-expression, and cultural inquiry. Through workshops and community-based learning experiences, Allen helps participants engage more thoughtfully with identity, consumption, creativity, and the stories woven into everyday life.

Lea Cybelle (she/her) is a designer, maker, and creative educator whose work bridges fashion, sustainability, and storytelling. Passionate about ethical production and traditional craft, she creates experiences that encourage participants to slow down, reconnect with the creative process, and explore clothing as a reflection of identity, memory, and care. Through workshops and community learning, Lea helps cultivate more thoughtful relationships with what we make, wear, and value.
Somatic Coaching Facilitatorev’yan whitney
Ev'Yan Whitney (they/them) is an internationally recognized sensuality educator, facilitator, and author whose work explores the intersections of embodiment, pleasure, healing, and personal freedom. Drawing from trauma-informed practices and years of community education, they create transformative learning experiences that help participants reconnect with their bodies, reclaim desire, and cultivate deeper self-trust. Through workshops, writing, and guided practice, Ev'Yan invites people to approach sensuality not as performance, but as a pathway to presence, agency, and wholeness.
