laureen andalib
Co-FounderLaureen Andalib (they/them) is an artist, award-winning director, and founder of Studio Somatics. Raised in San Francisco’s Mission District, their work bridges ritual, performance, and sensory ethnography to address trauma, displacement, and collective healing. A Cornell BFA (‘17) and Harvard MDes (‘23) graduate, Andalib advances world-building practices rooted in dignity, liberation, and revival.
sakkshi uomoto
Sakkshi Uomoto (she/her) is an immigrant founder, designer, somatic practitioner, and Co-Founder of Studio Somatics. Rooted in Vedic lineage and disciplined Vipassana and Pranayama practice, she facilitates community-centered healing spaces that build nervous system capacity and belonging. Her work bridges design, embodiment, and collective care to support ethical action and repair.

Marketing InternKaitlyn Song (she/her), is a USC junior in Business Administration with a marketing focus, and draws on global experiences to bring adaptability, resilience, and creativity to her work. Passionate about purpose-driven marketing, she thrives on collaboration, blending strategy and storytelling to create meaningful social impact and build authentic connections with diverse audiences.
